Day
1: Tirana.
Arrival in the morning / afternoon in Rinas airport or in
the port of Durres. You will be welcomed by the guys of
VivAlbania. Arrival at the house of VIVAlbanian guys and
accommodation.
In the afternoon meeting at the community center, meeting
with the guys of the project. Presentation and knowledge
of students, presentation of the project.
Visit and knowledge of Bathore, information and knowledge
of the history, the reality and the community.
Return home in the evening for dinner and overnight host
took by the youths families.
Day 2: Tirana.
Breakfast and then departure to Tirana, the capital city
of Albania.
Visit the historical museum with explanations on the history
of Albanian people, the regime of dictator Enver Hoxha (the
ticket costs 3 euros), visit the mosque of Ethem Bey built
during the years 1789 to 1823 (the mosque along with the
clock tower, is most important part of the historical center
of Tirana). The visit continues with the bridge called Ura
e Tabakeve situated along the boulevard Zhan'D'ark
built in the eighteenth century.
Free lunch.
In the afternoon visit the artificial lake and the park
"The Big Park of Tirana and tour to the Dajti
mountain, near Tirana, from which one sees all, a really
beautiful scene that ends in the sea, you can go there by
cable car (4 euro cost of the cable car or 500 leks, round
trip).
Return home in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Kruja and Lezha.
Breakfast.
Departure to Kruja, (29 km from Tirana), the birthplace
of Scanderbeg (our national hero), visit the Historical
Museum and Ethnographic Museum (entry 5 euro in museums
or 600 lek) and the popular market with traditional shops,
places where people work and crafts.
In the time of lunch return to Lezha.
Sightseeing, the tomb of Skanderbeg, the island of Pen and
then in the beach for swimming.
Return home in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Shkodra.
Breakfast.
In the morning you will visit Shkodra (100 km from Tirana),
in northern Albania.
Sightseeing, Rozafa Castle, built on a rocky hill where
the river Buna passes, which is the shortest lake of Albania,
and also the Lake of Shkodra. From the castle you can see
the landscape of the city and the river.
Lunch (opportunity to go in the restaurant trade ... Albanian
kitchen, a traditional environment).
In the afternoon visit to the Middle Bridge, the oldest
bridge in the Balkans. After the bridge we will visit the
photo library Marubi (the oldest photo gallery of Albania
made by albanian photographer Pjeter Marubi).
Back in Tirana.
Family dinner and after dinner you can go to centre of the
city to have a drink and have fun in the most frequented
nightclubs in Tirana.
Day 5: Durres and Berat
Breakfast.
Departure to Berat (122 km from Tirana). brake in Durres,
sightseeing and visit the ancient amphitheater of Durres
(Entry 2.5 euros or 300 lek). Continue to Berat, a city
of the Ottomans, known as the "city of a thousand windows"
with the typical houses and properties, classified as city
museum, built in front and on the slopes of Mount Tomorr.
Free lunch.
Visit the castle, an important historical monument in the
Balkans, the museum contains objects of religious iconography
and Onufri paintings , one of the greatest Albanian painters
of the sixteenth century . Within the castle walls are inhabited
houses.
Visits Mangalem district. Also visit the Ethnographic Museum
which is located in an old neighborhood.
In the afternoon return to Tirana. Dinner and overnight
in the family.
Day 6: Gjirokaster and Saranda.
Breakfast.
Departure to Gjirokastra, a city under UNESCO protection.
A very beautiful city, with roads (trails) that are made
by characteristic stones, and with old houses and the roof
line of stones, a feature also of the villages around. This
is the birthplace of the Albanian dictator Enver Hoxha,
but also of the many Albanian writers.
Free lunch.
Visit the castle of the city, a large and beautiful castle,
a monument of the history.
In late afternoon, arriving in Sarande, in Vivalbanian guys
families. Accommodation, dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Butrint / sea.
Breakfast.
Departure to Butrint, which is built in the sixth century
before Christ. One of the largest and remarkable archaeological
sites in Albania and also called Balkan National Park. (20
km).
It is located in the south of the city. The first archaeological
revelations were made by Luigi Ugolini (Italian). It 's
really beautiful and an exceptionally attractive place to
visit. Visiting the south - east of the park (field Xarre),
visit Kalivoit, even going into the top of the town.
Free lunch. After lunch,in the sea.
The dinner with the family ,after dinner, a walk along the
coastline. Return to the guys home for the night.
Day 8: Saranda / Ksamil / sea.
Breakfast.
The day to swim in Ksamil islands.
Dinner and overnight in the houses of Vivalbanian youths.
Day 9: Saranda / Ksamil / sea
Breakfast.
Swimming in fabulous beaches in Ksamil.
Dinner and overnight in the homes of Vivalbanian guys.
Day 10: Saranda / Tirana.
Departure to Tirana bus line. In the afternoon return to
Tirana. In the evening, party at the community center. And
as the last night, we dine all together.The Guys of Vivalbania
project prepare dishes in their homes according to their
areas of origins and bring them to our community center.
You will hear traditional Albanian music and dance, learning
the traditional dances of the country.
Overnight in the families of Vivalbanian guys.
Day 11: Departure.
Breakfast. Departure to airport or the port of Durres. You
will be always accompanied by Vivalbanias guys.
